Adventure
Hollowreach
★★★★★ 4.5
Hollowreach is slow in the best way. You wander through overgrown ruins, solve gentle environmental puzzles, and slowly understand what happened to the place. There's no combat and no timer pushing you along.
It's a swipe-and-tap affair — drag to look around, tap to interact. On a small screen some of the detail gets lost, so we'd recommend playing on the biggest phone you have. There's a hint toggle for when a puzzle stumps you, which we appreciated.
Battery use is moderate. The art is pretty but not GPU-heavy, so sessions didn't drain us too fast. A great headphone game.
What we liked
- Calm, no-pressure exploration
- Puzzle hints are optional, not forced
- Beautiful without hammering the battery
