Mobile games, tested properly

We play on real phones, not spec sheets, and write down what actually happens. Expect notes on controls, battery drain, settings worth changing, and whether a game is worth your evening commute. We recently put Legends of Slots through its paces and the full breakdown is below.

Why us

Real devices

We test on actual phones, from older budget models to newer flagships, so the notes mean something for your hardware.

No paid praise

Scores come from play sessions, not from anyone's press kit. We'll tell you when a game let us down.

Battery and heat notes

Every review includes how a game treats your battery and whether the phone turns into a hand warmer.

Emberfall Saga
RPG

Emberfall Saga

★★★★★ 4.6

Emberfall Saga is the kind of RPG that respects your time. Battles are turn-based and you can set them to auto when you're grinding, but the boss fights genuinely want you paying attention. Switching party members mid-fight with a swipe feels natural once you get the rhythm.

  • Combat that scales from casual to tricky
  • Story worth reading, not skipping
  • Frame cap option saves battery

Questions & answers

How do you choose which games to review?

We pick games we're genuinely curious about, across as many genres as we can manage. Sometimes it's something a reader suggested, sometimes it's a game we couldn't stop playing. We avoid covering only one type so the catalog stays varied.

Do developers pay you for reviews?

No. We download or buy the games ourselves and our opinions stay our own. If a developer ever gave us a free copy, we'd note it in the review, but it would never change the score.

Can I suggest a game for you to cover?

Absolutely, that's half of how we find things. Email us the name and why you think it's worth a look. We can't promise we'll review everything, but we read every suggestion that comes in.

Is there advertising on the site?

We keep the site light, and any advertising stays clearly separated from our reviews. Our scores and write-ups — like our breakdown of Legends of Slots — are never influenced by ads. Editorial and advertising don't mix here.
